It's a Mushi King clone with Zoids. Three types of card - you scan a zoid in, equip them with a pilot then put weapons and specials on them. Would anyone be interested in seeing us cover it?

Fuck yeah.

Mushiking is brilliant (we have a review Wink) Seems like everyone is trying to clone it. Dino King...Pah and now this. Still Zoids are cool, I remember the bleakness of the story from the original Zoid toys and their little comic books Smile happy days.

It has to be better than the woefully bad Zoids arcade game I played last year with its stupid twinstick implementation. Sad

To be fair though, nothing could touch Cyber Sled when it comes to it's Twin Stick implementation.

Granted. Cyber Sled is the yardstick by which all twin stick games are measured.

Okay, I'll go to Akihabara tomorrow and see if I can set up a deck for a few quid. If they haven't got any cards in Hobbit you're out of luck though. No way in HELL am I building a deck out of randomly dispensed cards at 50p a shot.

I thought all this was behind me once I had my Seakafta Beetle with Rolling Clutch Hold with boosted defence and healing power. You bastards had better appreciate how I suffer for my art.

Suffer! Think how we're suffering with the comparatively SHIT UK version of Mushiking. There's only like 50 cards in our deck. Not to mention you can't find a fucking cab for love nor money. Sad

... and hardly anyone plays it at all.

I was at Trocadero for half an hour racking up cards, constantly watched by security.

Had someone actually given me a match, I'm sure I would have been carted off for suspected grooming.

Not a good game to play for those 12+.

You lucky bastard. I was in town last week and spent an hour in Namco Station, which has completely gone to shit I might add, I'd give it another 6-12 months before it closes completely.

This is the closest thing we have to an arcade in Reading

Fucking tragic.

We'll have to work on that forklift and lorry scam at ATEI, y'know the one that didn't work at the Millenium Dome.

Who cares? All the new cards do the same shit anyway. They're just new artwork editions.

Didn't realise that. I assumed the game contained additional animations and beetles which we weren't being 'allowed' to see because of a reduced card set.

http://www.mushiking.com/e/cards/index.html

We've got 18 beetles and 18 skills over hear (V1 cards), but I've seen V4 card sets with 24 beetle cards. The game must re-use beetle models to cope with the increased roster and determine the stats from the barcode. Same with the skill cards, it must use the same animations, but determine power based on the card used.
