Looks like yet another dashboard replacement on the way:

which seems to be a fixed version of the Kinect dash, with full voice support, which replaces both existing dashes. Lots of Windows mobile interface tweaks by the looks.
Crazy they are still updating this, though I guess it make sense for Kinect. Not everyone can be arsed with Kinect though, right?
I had a beardy think about this. Dicking around with the UI every 6 months isn't really that clever.
What's odd is I am finding using the PS3 XMB more usable when I actually want to play a game than the Xbox Dash... it has a menu, where all the games are "1 click away" finding a game on the Dash is basically incomprehensible. No sure how they get it so wrong so consistently.
don't you just press the big button and then go to your games library? I know what you mean though the interface could do with a games page to aid navigation.
Yeah maybe, that just seems like pressing tilde and getting an extra life to me. The Guide button is a navigational cop out. I'll try it next time, though.
I just got Kinect by swapping some crap out... doesn't really work in my front room. Ooops. And I have a fairly healthy front room too, the issue is my setup isn't high enough off the ground. Ridiculous.
