That video...I can't find the words to explain it properly, so I will have to delve into teh slang.
SICKNESS!
Even if it's 3D, it does not bother me. It's enough of a sacrifice for people to take notice of the series of the game it's a good thing. I'm just hoping they can emulate some of the mechanics of the older games such as 3rd Strike into 3D, as well as adding newer gameplay additions.
It was CRIMINAL how SF3 was ignored for things like "it's 2D" and "MUH, WHERES ZANGIEF AND DHALSIM...yknow, those guys I NEVER EVER PICKED" and other shit. Yknow what they should have done, packed in SF3 with the Dreamcast! *sobs* Although, to be fair, I never took notice of SF3 till 3rd Strike. Almost...perfection. My favourite game. ^_^
SF EX 3 had a similar (shitter) intro where Ken and Ryu were fighting it out, totally different to how the actual game played. This looks more believable as you can see stuff like throw escapes, although at the very least I hope the art style is like this.
It looks very familiar, I can't put my finger on where i've seen it before.
There's a bit more realism to it too. Ken's Dragon Punch and Hurricane Kick look more plausible, as though you could actually pull them off yourself. I wonder if that will come across in the game.
I desperately want them to go with that art style though. It's like a living watercolour and would be so much better than the high-res Guilty Gear look that most expected them to use.
This ink splodges thing is interesting, looks 2d, and it looks like ryus eyes are going to pop out.
Is this the case that visually, they are just about making 3d look as good as 2d? And are making some kind of hyper intellectual statement by kicking the ink out of the characters?
Either way, what the hell is the game? Anyone know? Whats the system?!
Street Fighter with VF dodge into or out of the stage would be interesting, I don't know enough about Street Fighter to know, what makes Street Fighter, Street Fighter.
Anyone know what the 'system' was EX, a game I still haven't, but have always wanted to play.
Adding 3D elements to Streetfighter is just so worng on so many levels. There's no need to add something like a VF-style 3D dodge, it's already been proven with SF3's Parry System - the parry completely turns the game on it's head.
EX used 3D models, the main addition to the system was the Super Cancels (which has also been announced as one of SFIV's features). You can string together specials into supers, then supers into supers to create massive combos. Back in the day where I played EX was never a challenge game, lots of people used to play it, but they used to play it for combos on single player mode only (just like we did with Killer Instinct).
Yeah, going down to it to get a few games of that and SFII HD RMX.
Should be a good laugh, the other events I've been to organised by the NeoEmpire crew have been good fun.
Any of the OS boys gonna turn up to this one? I didn't get many games in at the last event, but I had tons of fun watching some of the finals, the tournaments were orgainsed really well. All casual machines were off'd and the main game was played on a big screen plus announcer introducting the players.
Wish I was good enough at one of the game to get to the finals! I scammed my way into the top 8 on SSF2T at this tourney in brum, but I was lucky as fuck! XD I got blasted by a E Honda player, I stood no chance against his but bash tick xx orochi throw into hundred hand slap spam! Dhalsim got merked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the game, it's been a proper mad trip for me. I've hated it more then I've loved it on some of the updates. Gameplay videos and explanation of the new "Saving Attack" which lets you cancel out supers and specials moves mid attack and allows you to cancel with a new one sounds interesting.
Art wise it still looks off in places, but in other screens it looks fab. It deffo looks better in motion though.
Fuck knows, the new trailer is pretty decent for it though...minus the announcer who is no way as good as the Zero 3 and CvS2 one.
El Fuerte, the new Lucha Libra character is armed with a a frying pan
RUFUS! WHAT?! BUCKET O CHICKEN!? WHATS GOING ON!
I really really hope this is really good, revives the SF brand name in the eyes on new and old players so Capcom can start spitting out fighting games again like the did in the 90s and early 00s.
O...M...F...G!!! O_O
Capcom are made out of Magical Sparkle Dust and Awesome!

Didn't expect to ever see this.
Very exciting
There doesn't seem to be many details about - is there any idea which team is actually developing this?
No idea on the team. I'd expect it to be outsourced to be honest. Haven't most of the SF3 team moved on to other companies now?
The teaser's nice though. Kinda reminds me of Okami.
Dear Capcom and God.
I love you.
Jassi.
*cries tears of immense joy*

When's 'Wii Carlton' coming out?
I don't work on times!
Just look to the heavens, if you see explosions, lasers and and strobe lighting, I am there.
(Will get there in the morning of the event, not made any plans yet)
Thats good enough for me, I'll be the one eating a very rude kebab and smoking.
