Out in Japan!

Looks like that PlayStation3 thing Paper showed me, without the cats. Sad

DS Demo downloads are very exciting though.

Minna no Nintendo Channel - so that's what my Wii's been sitting there glowing about!

Had to have a massive purge of VC stuff so I should have space, the Neo Geo and PC Engine CD stuff rinse out your memory. I got the PCE CD version of Gradius 2 which is busy showing me how awful I am at these games now >_<

Post chrimbo I am going to have to Japan Wii it, the VC stuff, and this channel with freaking DS demos is too much content to ignore.

I can't be modding the damn'd thing either.

I was thinking the Check Mii Out channel was bobbins, but the results bit is excellent!

Thanks for the picture Kaladron! Sent one back.

Got it. Awesome stuff.

I've spent as much time on the Check Mii Out Channel as any other 'game' this month. It's just so addictive and has awakened a creative side I never knew I had. Made a Gingerbread Man today. Smiling

Looks like this is out USlolA side now.

Can't download it at the moment as the Wii Shop appears b0rked due to load.

Ah well... where can I be indocrinated in the down time?

I've got some serious channel management to do.

Its chewing along atm, but I've had a go at some DS demos.

Which is all I was interested in really.

The steaming videos are not really streaming for me.

There is a crazy "We are going to own your life" declaration screens at the start too... I had to move some n64 games to my SD to make room... it required a further hundredandsomething blocks once you've downloaded it.

It uploaded ALL my play time to the Nintendopolis at the start so now I can tell them Excite Truck rocked my world... and I've played too much "Ice Hockey".

Had a quick go last night, speed issues had gone, and video streaming worked reasonably well (better than the Live news thingie video streams at any rate).

The DS demo upload feature is very nice, so much more pleasant to use than the horrid PS3->PSP usb crapup.

The all-new-releases game listing thing looks genuinely useful too, and they've added the browser-launch stuff so there is no real need to nip over to a PC.

So... its a lot better than the disorganised Xbox Lives news-crap, but no where near as much fun as the PS3 Mainichi Issho cat news business.

Can't get over the fact you can spend real money to buy Toro new furniture and clothes though.

Got mine last night. The videos were unwatchably slow but I like that Nintendo now knows how much time I've spent on its games. Let's hope they use the data wisely.

DS demos is a great idea that's long overdue. I downloaded the CrossworDS demo then took it to bed to play before sleeps. Very nice.

My only real problem is that I had to delete two VC games just to get the channel onto my system. I'm going out to Nintendo Germany next week so I'll make sure to bring up the issue. How the hell do they expect WiiWare games to sell if there's nowhere to store them?

Yeah, the jive you get from Nintendo is that only hardcore super freaks are filling up their Wii's with stuff... Joe Buttface merely plays Wii Sports and Wii Play ergo no requirement.

The only way they could do it is release a USB thing, or maybe an SD card speed tester thing... copying things to the SD card is quite slow with my one, so running apps direct from that might be painful... I guess that is why Nintendo are hesitant to allow it.

I think some internals on SD cards are made of blamonge and tin foil.

They should release a Black Wii with a silver light on the front, call it a Wii Elite and make it sound like a hovercraft for good measure... infact make it sound like Madbury's Wii.
