Breaking news...don't know how I feel about this yet. ;\/

In terms of his private life we'll probably never know what was actually going on. Personally I'm quite shocked, as this is sudden and unexpected. I'm also partial to his music, so that side of it is saddening.

I have to say at first I thought it was a wind up, but checked the news on my mobile and there it was in black and white. You can bet this will have done the rounds at the campsite in Glastonbury and set the tone for a very strange night of drinking.

The man was a true legend, at least now we can remember him by his music without having to put up with the ridiculous shit from the scumbag media (who succeeded in killing him a long time ago).

I was never a huge fan (although Thriller is an awesome album), but there's no denying the impact the man had on music & dancing the world over; 'famous' doesn't seem to get anywhere near it.

Plus he leaves behind some young kiddies & that always makes me sad.

The man had such a dodgy upbringing, it's tragic his life and persona became a circus.

Some cunts have already defaced the shrine fans made for him on Shaftsbury Avenue. I didn't think it was possible for me to hate humans any more than I do - but yeah, hate+1.

This is how I'll always remember him;

Saur, was that the 3D thing he did for disney world? I remember watching him in a 3D film there once. Bloody awesome.

Seriuosly what the fuck is wrong with people these days. Have they no respect for the dead Sad.

I've spent most of today reliving my Jackson memories on Spotify. I think Bad was one of the first albums I got on cassette when I was a kid. Not The first, but an early album that will stay with me for a long time.

Incidentally my favourite video is the Smooth Criminal vid. The bit at the beginning when he enters the club and flips the quarter into the juke box.

I can understand to a degree people being unhappy with others mourning Jacko, if you believe that he did abuse kids.

Sad as his life became, there is a huge question mark over what happened with the kids staying at Neverland.

Doesn't excuse damaging any memorials, he still deserves sympathy. The way he died is very strange, if the rumours are to be believed he was very ill beforehand.

Nothing was ever proven though was it. More trial by the media than anything actually substantiated. Sure sleeping (literally) with kids is a bit wierd, but all I see is a grown man in persuit of a childhood that was taken away from him. He was either a victim of the media or the stupidest peadophile that ever lived. I find the latter argument harder to believe.

Anyway I was thinking about picking up a copy of Moonwalker on the Mega Drive or Genesis...

Don't think I'll be bothering for a while based on those prices!

It was a 3D film for the Epcot Centre, that and Smooth Criminal are my favourites out of his videos. The routine for Captain EO is just mindblowing, every time I see it I want to start dancing again T_T

I need to watch Smooth Criminal again from start to finish. Too good.

Oh wow! I never even knew that Captain EO film existed! When I thought I'd seen everything there is more that surfaces from the Golden Era that was '85-'95.

I was listening to HIStory disc2 last night, I'd forgotten how mindblowing that was. I got up and danced like a gangsta to 'Money' about five or six times on repeat.

It's been pretty emotional for me over the past couple of weeks. With every Jackson song there is a cluster of various memories leading up to my early 20's. I feel pretty guilty in that I haven't listened to any of his music for a good few years now, I did however want to go and see him but I wasn't prepared to get bummed on ebay for a ticket, I'd have had to have paid for my mum as well and it just wasn't realistic. The guy was my role model when growing up, I realised through his words, music and dance that absolutely anything in life is possible if you put your mind and heart into it enough. Even lately I'd do things such as strike one of his poses after pulling off something crazy in a videogame (even when alone! not even trying to be funny in front of anyone) or come out with a "Wooooooo!", "Awoooo!" whenever I get excited over something like a girl.

I hope he realised how many people still loved him late in his life... It just takes something to remember that genius which I'm sure most of us had forgotten, that something being his death instead of a monster comeback tour, which is pretty tragic.

LOL! I do the same thing! XD Now that we have wireless controllers I can make it as epic as I like without the risk of breaking anything.

Yes.

It's all about the childhood memories his music invokes.

Fuck the haters. There was no proof he ever did any of the things he was accused of. Anyone thinking for themselves without media-induced blinkers could look at the guy and see he would never harm a child. Unfortunately though, because of his other idiosyncrasies, he was an easy target for people who wanted an excuse to drive another nail in his coffin.

He gave kids wine to drink and called it 'Jesus Juice'.

He was a fuck up, and his relationship with children was worrying at best.

Genuinely sad was the 'memorial service' horror show, and the genuine grief and confusion of his own kids. Bleak.

Still holding that pitchfork:

He would never admit to lying, even if he did lie, as he would then have admitted perjury and face jail.

I don't think it would be perjury as it was settled out of court?

There's just not enough evidence to sway my opinion. There seems to be very little actual hard facts and far too few allegations of abuse for it to fit with Jackson being a peadophile. That's just my take on it though, which seems to match with the American justice system's.

Next thing you'll be trying to convince me that OJ was guilty Wink

Gave evidence under oath, would be enough I think.

I agree there isn't enough evidence to make guilt likely, but I'd say there isn't enough either way, and he admitted to some pretty nutty stuff in that Bashir interview.

O.J. quite obviously hacked his wife's head off I thought... ? Didn't the civil case decide that 'beyond reasonable doubt'.

OJ is so laughably guilty it hurts. Incidentally if you want a book with a great cover the American version of this is inspired:

I love the way they have miniturised the 'IF' and hidden it in the big red 'I'
