LA Rush - What were they thinking?

Another woeful example of some top draw IP watered down by a bunch of marketing tossers if ever I saw one.

That pic says it all really. Low riders and "Ride Pimping" sponsored by West Coast Customs of MTV fame. Sick

The entire Rush universe swept aside for real world motors and teh realism. Sad

Man, please, I'm welling up....

I think its only us two who "know" Rush....

Seriously though I saw a vid of it, the actual game mechanic looks similar to what we know... I'd actually have to y'know play it to find out though.

Thats the real killer isn't it. Every time I go into Game I see it sitting there gathering dust and I think to myself "I wonder if it will be like the Rush I know and love", but for full price I'd rather not risk it. By trying to open up the game to a wider audience they've essentially ostracised the games fanbase.

I've yet to experience the N64 version which is the one you rate above the excellent DC verstion of San Fran. 2049. I could probably pick up an import N64 and a copy of the game for less than the cost of L.A. Rush. :sigh:

I prefer the raw simplicity of San Fran Rush (the first one). Its just brutal. And endearingly crap.

I played this in my local game.

It's just basically Midnight Club 3, with slightly different trousers.
