This new rhythm game looks fantastic - proper loving the cabinet design.

There's a good little interactive demo in the "How to play" section.

That name has seriously got to change before it comes to the West.
If only the DS could do multitouch eh, then we'd be in business for a port.

We're all dinos here. Everyone drifts, all the time: it's impossible to drive straight. DUKE OUT!

Indeed, though in Japan the game is pronounced as "yubeat"

Faulty romanisation is to blame here I reckon.
LOL! It's pronounced "U-Beat"
You make it sound like a game Borat would come out with

They have a couple of these at the Troc now, near the Para Para Paradise machine (just look for the gothic lolitas) and its lots of fun
The cabinet is called 'U-Beat' so I guess they fixed that. It is possibly a location test too, there are stickers on the marquee labelled 'working title'.
Both machines are network linked, and there is an online option but no Internet access. The button interface works really well, and it gets proper frantic. It's like a whack-a-mole version of Ouendan.
That's very interesting they're actually having a location test here. I refuse to set foot in Troc though, I'd sooner have my fingernails slowly pulled off before any of my cash goes in their stinking pockets.

Was in the 'hood, and after after burning and become melancholic about that not being on a console yet and hunted for this.
Found it.
Its awesome!
May have bruised my fingers, I was more prodding than slapping at first. Love the lcd screens, got right into it, was with my bro and we rattled through some cash. Got to the advanced stuff which was hectic and hillarious, but it all worked and you could feel the design of the patterns with the music.
Its ouendan on a grid, multi touch... It was crappin out 6 square button mega mash on YMCA.
Fun fun.
Jubeat Plus for... iPad (Juke Beat in the UK, but with a much poorer songlist):
