Played it at TGS, it was very good indeed. Not sure about the new online multiplayer setup though, sounds a bit forced.

Man Bangai-O is totally awesome. Loved the DC version. Haven't played the N64 original or DS incarnations, this should fill the requirement nicely Smile

The DS version is reason enough to own the console, IMO. It's my favourite DS game by far but it's significantly different from the DC game (as much as it can while still being Bangai-O). There are no "dual-stick" controls and there's lots of different weapons/missile types, and some feel this makes the game too complicated. I love it to bits, though; in fact, I'm not really sure which version I like more.

Good one Smile

May and June are looking pretty packed, but this has got to be must-have.

This is pretty banging there is no where near enough 1 fps slowdown

I've only played the ds version of bangai-o which people would always say was a marmite game but i didnt really love it or hate it didnt really see a lot that interested me with the scoreing or the time attack i end up enjoying the more puzzle type levels and the stage creation

But know with missle fury they have vastly improved score attack aspect the game with the combo gauge, using the invincibility frames from the dash and waiting till its just about to end to unleash a missle parry i need to spend a bit more time with it only had a quick look last night.

Been meaning to dl this. Finances are tight at the moment. Loved the DC game, but I'm still around 20 levels shy of finishing that, so maybe I should complete that first, before splashing out on this one... :?

you can always try the missle fury trial i dont really think there a point going back missile furry is bangai o on crack its just 10 times more mental but with this there is more option for you to fight back there some crazy stuff like being able to freeze enemy bullets that soup up your amount you counter with your missle change up move

Does it have fruit?

I'll certainly be testing out the trial game. The last thing I purchased from XBLA I'm not too sure about. Outland, which based on the demo, looked like it migth be a mashup of Ikaruga and Metroid, but so far hasn't really delivered. It does have a lot of good points though.

I had a quick bash on the demo too - the third level is completely overwhelming, I couldn't get the rhythm in that.

There is a lot going on in there to take advantage of, needs more investigation!

I have spent more time with this i will try and explain the system.

The game is all about using your invincible frames you can tell when your invincible the yellow circle round your bangai-o fills up yellow bars and they disappear counter clock wise once there gone your not invincible there are 3 ways to become invincible to do this.

Most levels have your dash gauge at level 3 so i will discribe as that
1.dashing press rt once with direction on the left stick this use up one dash gauge but your invincible for about 1 second so can be used to bypass bullets streams ,get in a better postion or to ram a enemy fighter for which is very usefull as they go in a spin and dont fire back for a little while i believe they take more damage in this state .

You can also hold rt and a direction on the left stick and you will do a dash straight after the invincible part of the last dash is finished

One not of caution is to not button mash the dash button or you will just use 3 dash straight away and have lost a ton of the potential invincible frames .

2.The second way to produce a invincible frame is to press rt the dash button but with the left stick not in any dirrection this will produce a freeze attack at the cost of 1 part of the dash gauge.this attack will freeze anything inside your yellow circle bullets can be used to increase the power of your counter attack .enemies can also be frozen and will say in that state for about 1 second they also take more damage like this.

3.the last way is if your counter gauge is high enough to charge a counter this use 1 part of the counter gauge with the lt and press rt the this use up 1 part of the counter gauge it will make a *1 appear next to your center counter number this greatly increase destructive potential but also produces a invincible frame for about a second you can increase the multiplyer up to *4 each press gives of another second of invincible time

Now what can help alot is to mix and match these always end with a counter though for example dash in to a hell storm of enemies freeze to lots of bullets and enemies and since you know your safe in the invincible part of thefreeze charge counter as much as possible and unleash a devastating counter

Right yeah, its the RT dash I struggle with on the timing - I can ram enemies with it, but haven't got a good feel for how long the invincibility lasts yet.

How is the full game?

The trail a bit ghetto in the full game there is a nice tutorial of the gameplay basics but not in the trail which is just stupid its like they dont want to make money one thing is the trial level 3 isnt level 3 in the full game havent come across that one yet .

The full game is pretty decent seems a nice variety to the levels ive only done about 10 so far thought there is also a nice feature where if you cant get past a level and you die 3 times it lets you move to the next level.

There also a level edit mode which looks substantial only problem i can can see with it is shareing the levels is it only can be through people on your friends list , a shame as something like central hub where people could upload and rate levels would have been ace. But still it better than the sound download idea on the ds which didn't work

There is also some multiplayer mode but as im only on silver it wont let me look at it.

This game is pure risk reward love it best 5.70 ive spent in ages I just got the top score on level 30 but i hate games that make you have to be online to register it

Level 3 in the demo is level 37 in the full game far to hard for the demo all the levels that precede it in the full game teach you many things need to takle a stage like that.

Thanks, I will approach the demo with that in mind. I feel a full purchase is a-comin.
